We went to visit family and checked out Saguaro Lake. It was raining lightly the day we visited and the smell of creosote (greasewood) was everywhere as happens when it rains. It was great!

In St. Maarten we went on a tour ride that the first video for this adventure has around 11 minutes of showing the countryside. Then when we reach Port de Marigot, we went on a semi-submersible boat where we went "down below" and saw underwater. From there we went to the Bahamas and the crystal clear water where I got to use my underwater video for the first time.

This was our second cruise and we got a balcony suite this time (the only way to go). We had a good time but this is definately not a party cruise as most people were elderly and in bed by 8 pm-nothing like our Carnival cruise that was a constant party by all. The water was great for snorkeling in Grand Turk and the fort at San Juan was awesome.

We left on our first cruise from Mobile, Alabama, headed to Cozumel and then to the port of Calica, where we went to Tulum. Unfortunately, we didn't take pics in Cozumel but we got the ship and Tulum photos. If you've never seen Tulum, you owe yourself a trip. It is absolutely awesome and we are personally convinced that the Mayans had help not from this world. They were just too advanced for that period of time. Fascinating.

Great time to visit the Park before the rush. It was almost dead and so quiet. Most of the trees hadn't started blooming yet but there was still some green

We went to this lake in the winter so it wasn't very pretty but the wild turkeys were really cool. This lake is a bird watcher area and also has alligators.

Savannah is awesome with all the city squares and the beautiful architecture that survived the Civil War. We stayed at an RV park on Tybee Island where there was a cool lighthouse with a fort.

While there we went a short distance south to Brookgreen Gardens which we loved, visited three times! Then on to the historic district of Charleston, SC, to see and feel the history. My dad and I spent a few days on the coast of Washington. The drive was beautiful (mostly on 101) and we did some golfing and fishing. He died a year later so I'm grateful for this time we spent together.
